i received a new pair of shoes/sandals/whatever you call it from my parents.. take a look!

it was the only thing i’ve shopped for for Chinese New Year.. i didn’t have the time to go around malls searching for clothes.. and even if i did, i didn’t have the money to buy them.. sad ain’t it? besides, not one of my so called relatives are going to notice whether my outfit is brand new or not.. just as long as i don’t show up in my birthday suit, nobody would even notice my presence.. though, it’s not such a bad thing.. i’ve already planned what i’ll be wearing on the first day of CNY.. i’m really excited about it! woohoo~ going back to Kulim!

Pissed~

a brainless customer (more specific: teenage guy) purchased 3 tickets for an 18 and above movie from my counter today.. slyly enough, he came alone to the counter.. there was no sight of his grandfather or his little brother visible from my view.. thank goodness i’ve already informed him about the movie rating, and as evidence, i stamped his tickets..

later, a steward approached my counter and started yelling at me for selling that customer 18 and above movie tickets when he brought his little brother along.. i was thinking what the fuck is he talking about? i have no freaking idea that he brought his little brother along.. AND WOULD I BE THAT STOOOPID TO GET MYSELF INTO DEEP SHIT IF I SAW HIM WITH HIS LITTLE BROTHER?!?! WAS I THAT FREE OR BORED TIL I NEED TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF BY GETTING MYSELF INTO TROUBLE?? obviously, that steward too was another asshole.. without even listening to my explanation, he yelled at me right away..

our supervisor was called out for assistance and i explained the whole thing that happened to her.. it was a really lucky thing that i followed every single step of the procedure and she stood up for me.. well, that’s cause i was not in the wrong.. i’m just really pissed for what has happened today..

Christmas Eve

it’s finally Christmas Eve! and i’m working on the evening shift.. thank goodness it’s only from 2pm til 10pm.. my friends and i had planned an outing to celebrate Christmas Eve with each other during our school days.. we were suppose to meet up in Queensbay, dine at TGI Fridays and stayed til countdown.. but that was when we were all unemployed.. i was so sure that i’d be able to celebrate this joyous occasion with them cause i wasn’t planning to get a job anytime soon and i even doubted that anyone would hire an inexperience person like me.. boy, we really can’t predict what the future has been planned for us.. due to an argument i had with my mom, i hastily decided to get a job without considering what i had to sacrifice..

my day was spent in Gurney, working.. and as expected, the crowd was huge! just imagine,
Movie Day (Wednesdays) + Christmas Eve = WHOAMYGODIDON’TTHINKTHATI’LLEVENHAVETIMETOGOPEE!

of course, today i had a lil extra chores to do.. i went down a lil earlier to meet up with Sherlyn, bought movie tickets for a friend of mine and we loitered around til it was time for me to go off to work.. since i was working til 10pm, i wanted to for the countdown together with my colleagues.. my parents weren’t too keen about it due to the jams and road blocks.. so basically, my Christmas Eve sucked.. while others were having a blast, i was asleep at home..

What A Day

my day was off to a bad start.. i woke up with one really upset tummy.. it was aching for the whole day, from morning to evening.. and i was suppose to work from 2pm to 10pm..

the first person to surprise me was Reuben dadi! i was in charge of counter 6 and at that time he arrived, i was busy serving a lot of customers.. he waited patiently at the empty counter beside me until i finished serving every last customer.. at first, i didn’t notice him but from the corner of my eye, i saw a person standing at the corner for quite some time and so i turned….it was dadi! haha..

i finally found out the cause of my tummy to hurt so badly.. it turns out that i was having my menstrual.. what a horrible time for it to come huh? of all days and all times, it had to come while i was at work.. i was in a hell of a pain and i couldn’t continue my work with a smile on my face.. during break, i ran down to Watson to grab some panadol, a bottle of water and a piece of stale bread from Bread History.. thank goodness the pill was able to minimize the pain..

by the time i was done, i was partially locked up inside Gurney Plaza.. i had no idea how to leave the building.. yes, the elevator was operating but there was NO WAY i’d be all alone inside the haunted looking elevator.. dad came to get me of course.. it was raining quite heavily that time.. dad and i were soaking wet.. on the way home, dad bought me Fillet-O-Fish for dinner.. what a day it has been for me..

Afternoon

after so many days of working the morning shifts, today i’m assigned to the afternoon shift which is from 12pm to 8pm.. i’m not that thrilled about it but i ain’t complaining as long it’s not over midnight..

work presumed as usual.. my job is just simple.. i can choose to sit or stand while i serve the customers.. all that’s required is a lot of talking, an abundance on patience and to be very attentive especially when it comes to dealing with money.. sounds simple yet it is a risky job..

somehow, i don’t quite enjoy afternoon shifts.. especially when i have no one to accompany me.. well anyway, today i spotted Seng Seng’s younger brother in GSC.. also, later in the evening on the very same day, i met an old primary schoolmate of mine.. we recognised each other but did not greeted as it might be too awkward to do so..

many people came to buy the evening/night movies.. even when the seats left are the one right in front of the screen, they still want to purchase.. wow.. good luck to your vision and neck people..
